Free nations

Where one has the freedom to eat, drink, wear and believe whatever the hell he or she wants to, as long as one does not rob others food, space and loved ones. Mike Ghouse

My inclusive world

I am glad my world is inclusive and not limited to one nation, one faith, one race, and one culture. It feels good not to have any barrier between you and another human. The world is mine and I belong to the whole universe. Life becomes beautiful when it is inclusive. May you be blessed!

Justice is the only glue thing that binds

Wrote to Ray Hanania,

" I am glad you are standing up for Justice, indeed, that is the only glue that binds and sustains cohesive societies."

Islam is about freedom and not enforcement of faith.

Islam is about freedom and not enforcement of faith. As a society, Muslim or other can punish the violators of the common rules for theft, cheating, robbing, breaking contracts, but God did not authorize any one to judge on one's faith.

World Muslim Congress

This group is about Muslims and their civic responsibilities, it is not about religious practices but simply about learning and creating a religious, social and civic space for themselves in the community of faiths. We do not distinguish between a Sunni, Shia, Ahmadiyya, WD Muhammad or the subsets of each group, all believe in God, the Prophet and the accountability of their actions and whoever calls himself or herself a Muslim is a Muslim to us. Currently we are blessed to have our Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Bahai, Sikh and Buddhist friends among us to learn and share their perspective. This is our world and our God collectively.

Justice ins the only things that will carry us forward

Unless we develop the ability to see our own faults, we are encouraging others to do the same. In the long haul, justice is the only thing that will carry the world forward and sustain the trust between the community of nations. Conflicts continue if we don't find solutions... might has never worked in the history of the world, we either pay through guilt or lose it all in the end, at least the morality.

What kind of future for Israeli and Palestinian Children do we want?

What kind of future do we want for Israeli and Palestinian children? Blame each other and keep doing what we justify? If we want a positive change for our good, others' good has to be a part of the equation, if not both will fail and screw up the future generation. Shame on us.

Religion Bud

God created everything inter-connected, inter-dependent and in harmony, and it is our duty, for our own sake to keep that harmony intact. He deliberately created us to be different, each one with his and her own unique thumb print, eye print, dna, taste bud... and we have to reach out and add religion bud to the portfolio.

We have no problem with your thumb print, taste bud or dna combination, why should we have a problem with your religion bud?

America is God's own country

America is God's own country, a miniature universe represented by all of God's intentional diverse creation.

Among us, we see God as one, none and many; and in every form; male, female, genderless, existent and non-existent, being and non-being, nameless and with innumerable names.

We are also blessed with every season, rivers, snow, desert, forests among things, and every race, ethnicity, language, culture and native traditions among people.
We are indeed Americans, honoring and respecting each others' pursuit of liberty, justice and happiness. We are the land of the free and the brave.

Humility builds bridges, arrogance destroys them

"Humility builds bridges, arrogance destroys them"

Arrogance breeds conflicts from the word go, both sides are doing their worst to assert their superiority of knowledge and their possessions,  neither is willing to take a back seat. Instead of sitting thinking, talking and acting to produce value, they will be tearing each other down if not overtly, but within the confines of their minds. Humility paves the way to acknowledging each other and giving full credit to the other,  and in turn they produce things of value.

Sticking to the topic

Every human is limited in his or her capacity and gravitates towards things he or she grasps more than the other. It is humanly impossible to be everything to every one and to keep up with everything that is going on.

Republican Hypocisy on Government Meddling

As a Republican Moderate,  I am amazed at the hypocrisy of our party, we want government out of people's life, yet we blatantly meddle with them, we want to dictate who can marry who and even in extreme situations we are opposed to abortion.  I wonder, why our media has not questioned about it. Well, I am going to do that.

One World

Our combined philosophies believe in one world ; Hinduism describes the world as Vasudaiva Kutumbukum, the whole world is one family, the idea of Ek Onkar(one) in Sikhism, you are all created from the same couple as Quraan puts it and Jesus embraced every one regardless of who any one is... similar philosophies are grounded in all our religions.

God, what is he?

We are Adivasis, Atheists, Baha’is, Bos, Buddhists, Christians, Dalits, Hindus, Jains, Jewish, Muslim, Sikhs, Tribals, Zoroastrians and every possible grouping. We are Brown, Black, White, Yellow and green with envy and phir bhi dil hai Hindustani (our heart remains Indian).

We see God as one, none and many; and in every form; male, female, genderless and non-existent, being and non-being, nameless and with innumerable names.

Good for nothing majority

We simply cannot stereo type the whole population based on a few intolerant judgmental men out there. Just like the good for nothing silent majority of Jews, Christians, Muslims or Hindus; and Americans, Indians or Chinese, the Pakistani Muslims Majority is another good for nothing lot, don't have the balls to speak up. We must encourage the good people to start speaking up and bring about a positive change where no Pakistani has to live in apprehension, discomfort or fear of the other Pakistani.

Biggest Victim of Bad Economy

The biggest victim of the bad economy is our attitude. It is tearing the social fabric of America. Our belief in "live and let live" has become corrosive, and we have let a few politicians shamelessly divide us.

Purpose of Religion

Mike Ghouse founded the Foundation for pluralism with a belief that if we can learn to accept the otherness of other, and respect the God given uniqueness of each one of us, then conflicts fade and solutions emerge.

He believes that the un-stated purpose of religion is to bring a balance to an individual and equilibrium with what surrounds him/her; life and matter. To be religious is to mitigate conflicts and nurture goodwill in creating a cohesive society where every member of the society feels at home, free from anxiety, tension and fear of the other.

Religions are inherently pluralistic as their goal is invariably to create harmonious co-existence. It is one world, one society and a part of singular universal energy. Indeed, we are not mutually exclusive but inclusive and fit in the scheme of things to make one coherent whole.

Honor Killing not a Muslim exclusive

Check the Honor Killings by Sikhs, Hindus and others on google...
There is a shameful violence against women, as Muslims we need to fix our problems first but we should not give it an aura that it is an exclusively a Muslim problem, it is not. Honesty does not mean beating ourselves up, it means recognizing the universality of the problem and finding solutions.
